This little guy was particularly good - he was out hunting twice today (that I saw), and caught a rat so big he could barely get liftoff with it both times! I've got to say, I'm a lot more in favor of a hawk-based solution to rodent problems than poison bait that neighborhood pets could get into!

One way to deal with rats in alleyways...
Spotted in Naylor Court - now if only there was some way to train hawks to police the alleys and streets of Shaw to catch rats on command!

cool (i think). we had a hawk hanging out on our fence (in eastern shaw) last winter for a while. i always wondered what they ate in the city. should have known...
